Dr. Patty Jilek
Dr. Patty Jilek graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. She then attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, graduating in 1998. Dr. Jilek practiced optometry in Chicago and then moved back to her home state of Minnesota to continue working in her field.
Dr. Jilek specializes in comprehensive eye care for the entire family. She also diagnosis and manages glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, dry eye, pink eye and cataracts. She enjoys seeing patients for contact lens fittings and computer-related vision needs. Dr. Jilek is a member of the Minnesota Optometric Association, The American Optometric Association and VOSH International (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity).
Because she has practiced in a variety of locations in Chicago and Minnesota, she believes her diverse experience is beneficial to her patients. Her goal is to listen to her patients’ needs because no concern is unimportant. She will work with you until all of your questions are answered.
Dr. Jilek grew up in a large family (the fourth of eight kids) in Shakopee, MN. She now resides in Glencoe with her husband and two children. They love the country life and the small town community. Outside of the office she enjoys reading, music, Yoga, running, gardening, soap-making, travel and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Jilek and her husband especially like camping in the BWCA. She is also very involved with their children’s school and serves on the parent-teacher committee.
