Eye Infections and Injuries
Eye Infections are best diagnosed with the use of a slit lamp microscope. “Pink Eye” is generally anything that makes the eye red/pink. The main causes of this are: dry eye, bacterial infection, viral infection, contact lens overuse, or other infective process. Each cause will have a different type of treatment that will be best for quick resolution. It is important to determine the cause before treatment is started.
Southwest Eye Care provides emergency services to patients with eye injuries, infections, and removing foreign objects. if you have any of these situations, please call one of our offices and we will get you the help you need. We will assess the situation and develop a treatment plan with you to insure proper healing of your eye(s). This may include medication and follow-up visits.
